I've been gong to Giovanni's since my kids were toddlers.. they are now 24 and 26. I continue to take them there as adults and my son goes on his own, driving from his apartment in Fairfax. They have amazing pizza! It used to always be perfect but we have found you have to ask them to cook it until the crust is crispy lately. They have had some changeover in staff over the last few years, but still the best pizza around!

We were coming home from a trip and needed to eat. We've been to Giovanni's before and stopped for a pizza and some pasta. We ordered a marguerita pizza, lignin with calamari, olive oil and garlic, and a Caesar salad. The server brought out the pizza, apologized that it was a little overcooked and offered to make us another. It didn't look bad, and we both like a crisp crust so said we'd try it. It was a little overdone but not badly, had no \tip droop\, and was well flavored. We kept it, and we're given a discount at the end. Good service always matters. We left a nice tip.

Food just simply isn’t good. DO NOT BUY THE WINGS- the wings aren’t real wings, they look like a boneless wing or a nugget with a bone in it, and they’re miniature, like the TGI Fridays ones you can buy in the freezer section at the grocery store. I assume they came frozen in a bag and Giovanni dropped ‘em in the fryer. undercooked, sloppy pizza- my cheese wasn’t even fully melted on it. Ordered a buffalo chicken pizza, but it’s not what you think, it’s a regular pizza with tomato sauce and some spicy pulled chicken on it. No buffalo sauce, ranch or blue cheese. How they sell those awful wings for 12 a doz is a straight up crime, and I’d love to know where they got the recipe to make buffalo chicken pizza like that- needs to be thrown out, just like the food I bought tonight...

Moving to NOVA from NYC, it has been really hard to find a real authentic Italian restaurant. The pizza was great, and the pasta was amazing. Big portions and fair prices. Great service and attention by the owner and waitress. We'll be coming back!
