This was the best meal I had in Kyoto. For a fine dining experience, their set lunch was very affordable. The tempura is amazing, but the rice dish at the end, which is really the main course, is outstanding.

Enjoyed lunch at Tensou in Feb 2018. It is a hidden gem. Fresh ingredients, sophisticated service, reasonable pricing for the location and quality. I was specially amused by their dried persimmon tempura. Nice people. They don't talk much but very professional. I will recommend to anyone looking for an authentic tempura place in Gion. I will surely come back soon for a dinner.
