What a fantastic place to go for lunch or drinks! There are not many places to eat in Blandford, but I would highly recommend the Ginger Viking. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. I was also impressed by the wide variety of vegan options on their menu.

The decor in this establishment oozes quality and class- almost Hollywoodesque in fact. But even that is upstaged by the knowledge of the staff, and the mixology skills of business owner Alex. And the flavour of the cocktails poured here will linger on your tongue for a while and remain in your memory forever. Award winning and highly recommended all over the country, it is worth going to Blandford Forum just to visit The Ginger Viking.
Visiting Blandford, walked past the fascinating old building and was tempted in for lunch So pleased we did, what a fantastic place. Excellent service , the dog was welcomed given water and made a fuss of. Everything clean and covid safe, lunch was the shared platter, copious amounts of coffee and a slice of lemon cake. Could not fault it.. absolutely superb.. I would move to Blandford just to have the Ginger Viking on my doorstep..
Brilliant lunch today, really recommend the lunch platter. Friendly staff, perfect cups of tea and bottle of local cider to go with it too. We will definitely visit again.
