If you are on holiday in Gibraltar then you must use the Cable Car that will take you to the top of the rock where you will get spectacular views of Spain and North Africa if the weather is good. It is not expensive and well worth it. Also take a short walk for the cable car at the top and you will come across the famous Apes but hold on to any food about your person or they will have it in a flash. Make sure you have a camera with you.
Fast and efficient. Though check out the ticket options before you travel. Remember it can close without warning due to windy conditions even in summer so you might have to walk all the way down (quite pleasant though steep in places).

What an amazing place! Buy the tickets online and get them quickly from the pre paid cashier desk. The monkeys are very peaceful and just wondering around, very friendly.
We were lucky that the queue for the cable car was under 5-minutes during our visit (December 2019). The staff member operating the cable car was very polite was gave loads of information on the sights below. It took about 4 minutes to get to the top. It's worth the money, as the view from the top of the rock is outstanding! Breathtaking to see the apes up close too. Fantastic :)
Awesome views and easy access to the rock. Approx 30 gets you up and down in the car plus access to the nature reserve and caves. Best to book online.
What a spectacular view. I would encourage people to book in advance. We did and still waited nearly an hour to get on the cable car. The queue for non ticket holders was more than double our waiting time. Be careful of food and the monkeys. One climbed on my back, opened my rucksack and stole my food. This happened within seconds. Definitely worth the wait though.
