We're on holiday and we googled fish and chip shops and came across George's and read the reviews. We were not disappointed as they are the best fish and chips we've had for a long while. Good value for money , big portions and staff are very friendly also very helpful. Would highly recommend.

Me and the family are up in Dumfries this weekend visiting family. Opted for a fish supper tonight and decided to visit Georges and so glad we did. I had large fish and chips and the Mrs opted for sausage and chips with curry sauce. Food was fantastic, no dripping in grease, and was nice and hot. Just a word of warning we did call and pre-order for collection, obviously rules are different to the normal procedure due to the covid, nether the less every thing was fantastic and we'll no doubt be ordering from here again when we're next in town.
