I was visiting my dad & was hungry so through I buy some fish & chips for us. I choose a middle which they cooked fresh for me. I had salt & vinegar. Got to my dad's. Opened the chips looked over done but when I ate some they where very soft no crunchy at all & seem like they had soaked up all the oil. The fish wasn't the best either. I had a feeling it old oil .The good point was it was good value and plenty of them. I just couldn't eat it.

Not a bad chip shop, first time I've been there in 30yrs! Kebabs /fish chips etc as you'd expect. Clean and tidy premises, friendly staff.

I moved to Old Hatfield at the end of last year and have only recently started to visit George's fish bar. What l have had so far to eat from there has been excellent. The batter on the fish is excellent and very large portions. Tonight l had a lamb kebab ( not a doner ) and it was superb. The lamb pieces melted in the mouth and the flavour was nice. The salad was fresh and just the right amount of onions. I'd certainly recommend this restaurant.
