Exquisite kochabi homecooked Malaysian dishes and fine Chinese tea in this cosy place tucked away in the quiet bowels of George Town. Pity they were out of their signature tofu, but the fish curry, pork leg and 番薯叶 were extraordinary, and the 东方不败 (salted fish pork belly) evoked childhood memories. The staff are most attentive and kept refilling our tea, and were highly accommodating. Even gave us free agar jelly dessert! Will be back... before they become too popular and there's a queue.

Very good food. My family enjoyed all the food. Posted were the empty plates of good food we finished. P. S. My Mrs followed the norm and took the food pic prior consumption. Update : went back after 4 months. Just as good if not better. Family was ultra satisfied.

Disappointing: fish curry was undercooked, pork ribs were unevenly cooked (some undercooked, some too tough to eat). Surprised by the positive reviews, this was our worst Cantonese food experience in Penang. Staff said they hadn’t expected all tables to be filled and so were overwhelmed but with 7-8 tables this reason is a bit unconvincing.

Came here when searching for a place nearby to eat. The place serves home-cooked Chinese food, with the star of the show being their steam chicken. Only ordered 2 dishes (because we were already quite full but wanted to get one more meal from Penang in before we left the island) and both were great. (Forgot to take a photo of the second dish, a stir fried vegetable dish.)

Cozy, homely feel. Dishes are generally on the milder side. May want to try these: Assam Fish, pork ribs in special sauce, steamed fish, steamed chicken and 4 heavenly Kings.

Delicious home cooked local favorites. From fried rice, asam prawns and their specialty steamed chicken, all was great. They have good tea selections as well and owners are accomodating. Great food at good value, I’d be back.

Family run Chinese restaurant. Good food for a reasonable price.
