Overcooked doner meat so it had the texture of cardboard plus a stone in the mushy peas. Staff responded it was because they're fresh peas there may be the odd stone so watch out if you have the mushy peas from here!

We’re moving house on Monday and planning our last meal in the area to come from George & Helen’s. Been going there for nearly fifteen years and it’s never been anything less than excellent. Some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had and always good service. Just be ready for a queue - chips that good are worth waiting for. Thanks to everyone who’s worked there over the last fifteen years and especially the boss and his family.
Started using G&H recently on the recommendation of a friend. They certainly lived up to what we had been told. Tasty, traditional fish and chips. Plus a delivery service! Thank you.
