We almost raced past this on our way to Arundel, and boy were we glad that we were able to stop in time. A beautiful very very old building, in a spectacular location. Beautiful views, not just when sitting outside. We just had coffee and a drink there, but felt very welcome and were treated as their special guests. Will be back for more!

Really friendly, very accommodating, I had the whitbait starter, was nice....worth a visit.
Having been in the pub trade for forty years plus could some one please explain to me why when the pub had barely 30 people in it that they could not feed two of us. To be told the kitchen was too busy does not make sense. Tables limited in the present climate is understandable but 10 plus empty garden tables I don't understand. In my time of running a pub it was take orders until the kitchen closed. Unfortunately the same concept just up the road at the sportsman. Good luck to both pubs come the winter months you need it
Lush country pub. Absolutely great old fashioned style with loads of outdoors space. Good beers on tap, food was tasty and we'll proportioned. Definitely worth visiting along the south downs way!
Incredible 10/10 pub chips! Huge, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside! The burger was also yum. The pub was also very accommodating for dietary requirements. Will be coming here again.
