Fresh tasty smoked fish to take away
Gedser isn’t a great metropolitan city, but instead a small port village where you’d most likely find yourself taking the ferry to Rostock. As expected, on a Saturday you will find all locals crowding in the bars and taverns. As recommended by a local, we went to eat at “Havnekroen” expecting Gedser’s best culinary experience. And surely, we found it. Here you find a lovely lady serving “smørrebrø” and hamburgers. Everything comes with Pommes. AND if you ask for it they will change the sides to a salad, to meet your wishes. What a superb place. A total most when visiting Gedser! Make sure not to miss this Beautiful Harbor restaurant (probably the only restaurant in Gedser).
Very nice place that you have eat if you are in Gedser. Eat the fiskefrikadeller or the smoked salmon.

We went here with a group of 8 persons. No problems finding a seat. Very polite and quick service. Also german speaking. Daily changing seasonal meals. Very goog price. Drinks also cheap. Nice view to the ferry harbour. Parking slots very close. Absolute recommendation. Mange tak!
Great little sleepy seaside town at the Southern most tip of Denmark. Long, empty beaches and few people.
Vi havde kørt 10 km for at få en dejlig frokost, desværre var alt booket. Men som den søde servitrice sagde kunne man købe mad i deres lille butik med dertilhørende tallerken og plastik bestik. Selv salt og peber fik vi, og drikkevarer til en yderst rimelig pris. Det eneste \men\ var at vi måtte hente en lille snaps til den røgede sild i restauranten. Men ih guder sikken et fantastisk måltid. Dette sted kan klart anbefales.
