Service did not come with a smile.. Ordered budget fish & chips (5 odd) as I wasn't overly hungry but had to spend 10 as using a card which I made up with a few extras. Despite this, the lady made a point if reffing to my 'budget fish and chips' when collecting. I opened the packet within minutes of purchase and the batter was soft and came away with the paper. The fish itself was slightly overcooked and had a really firm texture, it also didn't have much flavour so I gave up and threw it away. The chips were fine, just wish I had ordered something else to go with them. Wouldn't return.

Excellent gluten free fish & chips! Definitely the best I’ve had. Also, a thumbs up from my partner who had regular glutenous goodness. If we’re ever in the area again, will definitely come back.
If you are visiting Clacton-on-Sea this is a must-go-to place. The staff are friendly and the fish & chips are top quality. I visited with my family and we got diffrent things, namely Plaice & chips, Cod & chips, Scampi & chips and pie & chips, all were of good quality. When we are in the area again we will definitely return. As you can see from the photos the portion sizes are good too. (We got the medium fish and chips). The price was around 11 a head with drinks so a bite more expensive than same Fish & Chips shops but worth the extra.
Nice food, welcoming atmosphere. Portion sizes of the Chips a little on the small side but plenty of Cod even in the budget Cod Meal. Prices a little dearer than most locally. Would recommend if nearby. Card and Cash payments accepted.
Love it as gluten free every night where most only do gluten free one night a week
