Great location of stadium and good size to accommodate good number of people to enjoy exciting competitions.

Wrap up warm and, if there's a match on, go and support the local Garmisch Partenkirchen ice hockey team. You can buy standing or sitting tickets, but I prefer to stand among the noisy drum beating, singing banner waving supporters. Exciting games though it's often difficult to keep your eye on the puck, it moves so fast. Players sometimes get into small scraps when tempers run high. This stadium was built for the 1936 Olympics.

The view of the mountains is wonderful. The hiking in area is so peaceful and beautiful. We can't wait to visit again.
