Nice temple in the middle of the city. They had a nice screening system for covid. Temperature check, full body disinfectant, sign in sheet, etc. Have their own parking lot that can fit a lot of cars. Parking isn't free no matter how much you donate. Landscape is beautiful. Can tell they invested quite a bit to it.

Literally across the street from the convention centre is this place of peace and quiet surrounded by the city. Great history and architecture, nice walks in the woods. I would recommend it to everyone, especially if you are near by COEX mall

Bongeunsa Temple is beautiful and has a very calming feel to it. The day we went just so happened to be Buddah's birthday, there were so many colorful and detailed floats that could be found around the temple grounds. The food tents where located outside the temple, which served local snacks and drinks.

Beautiful Buddhist temple in the economic center of Seoul. Very welcoming!! Tea shop and bathrooms are readily available. Great place to go for New Years if you don't want to get stuck in the enormous downtown crowd.

Very peaceful place. A get away from the city in the city. There are temple stay options available if you are keen. Alternatively you can have a quick retreat by sitting inside the temple or enjoy a cup of tea at the teahouse. For well wishers, you can purchase candle, rice and flowers at the temple for offerings.

The temple is currently undergoing some renovations or restorations so it did take away from some of how impressive the place overall can be. I only stopped by to see the sights and it was very interesting to see devout Buddhists visit and pray quite fervently. A very informative brochure is provided to visitors and those interested can decide to experience life in the temple via the \Temple stay\ offering.

Beautiful temple in the middle of the city, near to COEX. You can get there easily, just get to the Bongeunsa train station. It's free admission, you can check the 11 different locations in the temple. Just bear in mind you need to take off your shoes in certain places. There's a lovely tea house as well where you can grab a bite or buy some tea. There's no souvenir store. You can make an offering or donation in the main temple.
