Lovely place set back from the Settle to Kirby Longsdale road, in the little village of Austwick. Booking at this time is highly recommended as seating has been reduced due to Covid measures. Food is lovely and well presented, a French and English theme is apparent on the menu. Staff are very friendly and make sure your visit is a pleasure. Low beams and little nooks provide a very nice atmosphere. Pizza take away seemed very popular as well. Parking is on the village streets but we've had no trouble finding space. We've made a second visit within the week, we needed to try more of the menu! I was very pleased to overhear the food waiter discussing to quite a depth the options for gluten, dairy and other intolerances to the table behind us. He went through each item on the menu offering options available for each one. Having no such intolerances I decided on a whole lobster from the specials board and again was delighted by the presentation and flavours. Thank you to all the staff again for making the meals out special even with all the restrictions imposed.

This pub was recommended to us by our hosts when we were staying nearby at the Dales. We knew the chef was French, but figured it might be just the usual pub experience and boy was I wrong. The service and overall experience/food was exceptional! From the way we we're seated and the overall service was exceptional! They had a seasonal specials menu which we ordered from and everything was superb! Absolutely recommended that you visit here!
Delicious Sunday roast and my daughter's kid's meal was good too. The food is French and all looked very good. Prices seemed reasonable for the quality. They took the necessary covid precautions without it feeling overbearing. We had an absolute peach of a day too which was great! Overall an excellent experience.
A meal out was thoroughly enjoyed, from the when we arrived until leaving. Food so tasty we didn't want the meal to stop, it was that good. Cooked to perfection and excellent service from friendly (but not over familiar) staff and all done to adhere to Covid legislation. Highly recommended. Thank you very much. The only down side was that we couldn't fit in a pudding, so that's definitely a reason to go back.
The friendliest staff. We stopped for hot chocolate and cake while on a bike ride. The kids can’t wait to go back.
