Somehow this place has a very forlorn ambiance. Some staff excels in friendliness others are quite unfriendly. Large choice, place not too big, aircon sucks (maybe turned off because of corona)

A beautifully well setup store with a welcoming ambience. Ground floor is setup with ladies handbags, makeup and perfumes (male and female). Level one is menswear from socks and scarf to winterwear and formal wear and it's well stocked. Level two is women's wear and just as well stocked. Staffs don't seem to hassle you as you browse but happy to help if you require assistance. Pricewise, consistent with what you expect from this chain of department stores. This Galeries Lafayette store is one of a dozen stores inside this beautiful piazza in Niort. Closest public parking is about three minutes away and about fifteen minutes walk from Gare de Niort.

Quel accueil !!! Certaines vendeuses vous regardent des pieds à la tête et sans aucun sourire elles se reconnaîtront. Et le vigile on n'en parle même pas... Pas de bonjour, pas d au revoir, pas de sourire non plus. On n'a plus envie d'y aller
