Came here because usual coffee shop's machine was broken. Gail's covid rules means standing outside in the crowd of customers waiting for the beverage. Waited 10 minutes for a coffee. When I popped my head in to enquire, was rudely told to step outside without even hearing why I had come back in. When coffee did finally arrive, again rudeness and zero apology. Coffee is average and will certainly not be returning.

Loved the cozy atmosphere and the smile from all the workers. Prices are reasonable. Big variety of many delicious baked goods. Also tried the latte and tasted good. I liked the free water jugs and classes available for the costumers.

I’d wish to love this place but quality varies, cookies sometimes amazing sometimes just average. I like their selection of pastries though. Decent coffee in the area.

Fantastic bakery and wonderful staff, definitely the best in the chain. Bertille and Roberta especially as they’re always very welcoming and should be praised for the hard work they continue to do.

The bread at Gail’s is great, but my true love is devoted to their amazingly wide range of pastries, sandwiches and tasty salted delicacies from the counter. Everything looks delicious and your eyes don’t lie when you taste it. The ambiance is really tight, crowded and forget about comfort, but once in a while worth the effort. It’s a shame that the prices are so high, even for St. John’s Wood standards. Try the takeaway option as the prices are cheaper.
