Don't get me wrong the food is amazing....if only it didn't take over 20 minutes to get a drink.....everytime.....on a slow night. And they have to do something about the ambiance, like get some. It feels like a cafeteria. Again, food was GREAT, FABULOUS! Service and ambiance folks, needs work.

We went here for an anniversary dinner and we loved it! We got the house special that night which was fish stuffed with crab and shrimp and it was absolutely delicious! We also got the crab Mac and cheese and baked oysters (which are fresh from Galveston). There was so much more on the menu that I wanted to try, so I’ll definitely be back! Best seafood place on the island hands down!!
We stopped in for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised by the welcoming atmosphere and warm, personable staff. Everything was prepared perfectly (including the delightfully tasty appetizers), and the presentation was appropriate, as was the portions. The only thing that I can find fault in is the fact that they are too far away to be a regular patron. I truly hope that you are there during crab season.
A Galveston tradition. This is definitely a high end nostalgic taste of Galveston Island. If you spent time on the island as a child it will bring back memories for sure. The food is unmatched for some of the best seafood on the island and the service is remarkable. I hope they are around for all of the future generations to enjoy.
Delicious seafood served and enjoyed at Gaido's! My wife and I dined here while visiting Galveston TX. The Calamari was unique and excellent, and so were the crab stuffed red snapper and blackened jumbo shrimp over Alfredo pasta (made special just for me). It was an amazing and memorable experience. Shout out to our water, Justin, who was terrific and took good care of us. ️
