If you're looking for a casual place for freshly made, melty, cheesy enchiladas, Gadzooks is your place! I really love going to Gadzooks. Its concept is along the lines of Subway and Chipotle: make enchiladas, tacos, or nachos to your order right in front of you. They then put them into a fiery oven to melt into cheesy goodness! Final toppings are added to finish off your meal. I love that it's completely customizable and they don't scrimp on any of the ingredients. My enchiladas are always chock full of meat and covered in delicious cheese!

Can't stop going!!! I am so grateful to have a location closer than the Phoenix one and Tempe location. The food is consistently delicious and staff always pleasant. Waiting for one to be built in Mesa now. You've got to try their cornbread...mmmm good!
This was an interesting enchilada joint. They pretty much only serve enchiladas and tacos, which is perfect. It’s set up like a chipotle or cafe rio in terms of ordering, but their meats are prepared specially and uniquely, and to heat up and melt the cheese on your entrees they throw it in a wood fire grill, so your food is always hot, unlike chipotle. My cheese got a little too burnt so it zapped some of the taste, but it was still pretty good. Plenty of vegan options. They also have stickers on their sneeze guards that tells you what ingredient is in each container which is super helpful.
I have to say the name made me question if that's all they served. Food is delicious, I come here for the double layer nachos and cornbread. Come early if you want Bison it sells fast.
My wife introduced me to Gadzooks about a year ago when she worked near their Phoenix location. We happened to be near their Chandler location yesterday morning and decided to go in right as they opened at 10 am. It was awesome to have the entire staff take care of us as no one else was there. Great customer service from greeting to leaving. We were schooled on their menu and how ordering works. Both ladies behind the counter took great care of our requests and made sure everything was meticulously arranged in the trays along with all of our individual sides. Needless to say it was delicious once again. I will highly recommend this location, especially for those craving a different style of Mexican and southwest flavors without the berto effect that overwhelms this part of Arizona. I'll have my wife pick me up some more Gadzookies on the way home from now on. The half and half tortillas are the bomb...
