Imogen McGuigan reviewed Black Bear Burger Restaurant Shoreditch
Can. Not. Speak highly enough about Black Bear burger. My partner and I first discovered them a couple of years ago on a date night at box park. We'd had a couple of beers and fancied a burger that tasted half as good as the aroma coming from black bear smelled. We met Stew and Katie who were so lovely and spent a good 10 minutes having a natter while we did a couple of ski shots... may have been Canadian club with maple syrup? Absolutely delicious. Well, we thought it might have been the booze that made it so so tasty but how wrong we were.. we've Been back 4 or 5 times and been served by other staff members and every time we've enjoyed that same consistent burger, as high quality as the last. We always mix it up a bit, a brisket burger or the beef shim nuggets (to die for) but you cannot beat the classic so when lockdown came around and we had to take our date night's at home, I was delighted to see BBB were offering DIY kits and they didn't disappoint. I can guarantee you will not find a better burger in London. Bleecker is a close second but why settle for second? Love love loved it, see you next time when we hope to visit the Brixton restaurant x
Dan Beames reviewed Buffalo Grill Bourgoin Jallieu
I had the misfortune to recommend this restaurant chain to friends having eaten in another Buffalo Grill, this was a mistake. Service was very slow, cutlery and glasses were visibly dirty, the tapas starter was soggy and dry at the same time (which isn’t an easy thing to achieve), the steak was burnt on the outside and raw on the inside and the salad was a few leaves tucked under the steak.l which meant it was partially cooked, like the steak. One positive was the beer was cold but it took such a long time to reach the table that my mouth was so dry from the starter that it had little affect.
If it was possible to give this restaurant zero stars I would. Awful.
Fabrizio reviewed KATANA Sushi
We were looking for a Sushi place that would not be the super upscale but not a fast food either. Katana Sushi proved to be he perfect place!
The decoration is sober, tasteful and warm. The touch of the Japanese culture is given by a few typical paintings and an extremely relaxing Japanese music that creates a really cozy atmosphere. The only hiccup in this aspect was the excessive light coming from the stylish wooden lamps (hence only the ****).
The food: we tried the Crab/avocado, spicy tuna, salmon/avocado. It was delicious and the food was served extremely quickly (still freshly made).
The selection of beers is small (2) but Asahi is of course present!
We will be back.
Pin W. CHEN reviewed Li Palace
It's my first meal in Aix-en-Provence, and my local friend recommended me that. Worth a try! Delicious! Only one thing that I would probably complain it's the price which is a little over my expectations, as Chinese restaurant. But consider the vibe, service and food quality, it seems reasonable.
