Went there twice so must be good. Lovely spot in the evening on the roof terrace listening to live music and a great meal on our last day.

Great place very loud music, but worth a visit. Not to busy but friendly locals and tourists. Nice clean place and staff are very polite and welcoming. If you are in Madeira I would recommend a visit to this pub. Be aware that if you have a disability there are many steps down to the toilet. Likewise if you want to go to the beer garden there are steps up.

A really nice place, spoiled by the erratic service. We've been a few times this week as they have an excellent range of cocktails and less common items like cider. But it's almost impossible to get served. We just sat at one of their outside tables for 20 minutes with no sign of a waiter. In all that time no one bothered to even look out of the window to check how many customers they might be ignoring. Several other tables were also waiting, and many, like us, eventually gave up and left. This is a shame. If you do happen to see any of the staff, they are very friendly and helpful - just rare! The owner needs to keep a better eye on his staff!
