Great west coast of Madeira day trip. Exceptional value ,great guide Danilo

We had two trips with Flora Travel, both were good value & took us to parts of the island we would have struggled to see on buses, Hilario ( The Boss!) was a superb driver/guide & we wish him well with his company, Pedro took us off piste at times on the second day, this adds this little bit extra to your journey. Joao in the office was very helpful too, we decided to book a transfer to the airport with the company as well because they had ticked all the boxes, again excellent service at 7.00 in the morning. Would not hesitate in using them again if ever we return, if you are in Funchal look them up.
Unfortunately, whilst the places visited were fine the minibus was not fit for purpose. It was old and rickety. No AC, microphone didn’t work and worst of all my seat belt was broken. I assume that this is illegal. The. driver/ guide and the company need to be aware of their duty of care to passengers. The guide was very good if a little verbose. Pity I couldn’t decipher a lot of his commentary as I was crushed on the back seat. A potentially good trip spoiled by the poor quality transport. I was on the West tour on Saturday 9th November, from Eden Mar hotel. I believe the driver/guide was Nilo.

Good trip at a reasonable price, though unfortunately opinionated argumentative guide and substandard transport with NO AC nor even a working vent fan of any kind in multi person minibus in summer heat, this despite guarantee it would be AC'd. Sweatbox that spoilt the day rather.
Hello to Danilo, Who is the best Guy of Madeira.....
My issue is with their out of date vehicles. We were picked up in a very old mini bus which was barely going up hills with 3 people in it, by the time there was 12 people on board, the bus broke down and we had to get onto another mini van which was smaller. The trip turned out to be stressful however they were happy to refund some of the money due to the inconvenience caused. Hopefully this was only my experience therefore I'm giving mediocre rating. Neither good or bad in my case.
