A good 45 min away from Fayetteville NC, you'll find this \chillaxing\ place, beachy looking, few minutes out from Southern Pines town. I tell you, it was worth the drive. Food was really good, bartender on top of your drinks refilling, nicest people in the world! Great experience overall!! If you are in the vecinita, you definitely do not want to miss this spot!!

We were having a terrible day, fog and rain made the drive miserable and in the middle of this 150 mile ride for Dr visit and picking up cell phone from a retailer that sat on the order for 10 days before sending it out for next level repair the general mood was about a negative 3. After arguing with the Assistant Manager about the poor handling of the matter and getting no where, I asked for a recommendation for dinner. We took his advice and ended up at the Full Moon Oyster Bar in Southern Pines. I had the small shrimp a roo appetizer, it was served with coleslaw and delicious potatoes for the both of us. Definitely enough appetizer for 2 of us. The large would easily be a meal for 1. Catch of the day was grouper and it was prepared perfect. I had the best shrimp scampi over pasta I’ve had in the last 10 years. The portion was huge and I couldn’t see the pasta through the fairly large shrimp. The staff was friendly and attentive but not bothersome. I plan on making this a once a month trip. General mood after dinner a plus 8 still had the drive and that ended up being not so bad.
This was our first time going to the Full Moon Restaurant. When we walked in we expected tables but there were none so being older, we were a little nervous. But we hopped up on the high chairs and had a delicious meal! I had a crab sampler that was to die for and creamy crab soup that was excellent. My husband had a mixed seafood platter which he really enjoyed. There’s complimentary boiled potatoes that were tasty too. We had a great time and the service was just outstanding. Very friendly wait staff. Highly recommend.
Wonderful place with a really unique bar set up. The seafood is fantastic. I recommend the crab dip. One of the best places to eat in the fayeteville area
My daughter and I ate here today.. Ordered the grilled oysters on the half shell to start.. Off the hook good! ..my daughter got the blue crab cakes and I went for an unlisted item.. Flounder, oysters, shrimp basket..fried but done right... Zero grease.. It was so good. She loved the crab cakes and got a taste myself. I am definitely going back. The staff were super pleasant and cordial with a southern charm and most importantly the price matched the quality for my visit. Loved it. Kudos to the staff.
