Best drink and food.
One of the popular peaks of mount Pilatus. At 1436 meters above sea level. Just outside the city of Luzern. There are two ways to reach the peak. One is to take a train to Hergiswill station from Luzern. Then walk/drive up to the cable car base. Take the cable car ride up to the Alpgschwänd restaurant and then walk for an hour uphill to the Fräkmüntegg peak. At the peak there is a base cable car station to go all the way up Pilatus. Then the second way is to arrive at Kriens station from Luzern. And take the cable car from there directly to Fräkmüntegg. The first cable car from Hergiswill base costs 7 CHF per person. And if you choose to take the cable car from Kriens, it will cost you 20 CHF per person. Either way you choose to climb there, you are going to have an awesome time with spectacular views of heavenly Switzerland surrounding you. There are a lot of activities to do up there. The most popular is the Toboggan run. A giant slide that runs all the way from the Fräkmüntegg peak. It is Europe's longest toboggan run. It's called Fräkigaudi Sommer-Rodelbahn. It is a lot of fun to ride only for 8 CHF. At the peak you can see lots of clouds just above you and lay back for a while and just enjoy the scenery. The climb uphill was hectic and if you do not have any experience on hiking before, it can wear you out. Be sure to pack lightly and carry enough water with you. This was my first ever mountain climbing experience and it was just purely amazing!
This is where to change from 4-seater cable car to panoramic car, which is limited to 25 people, and wearing a mask is mandatory inside the panoramic cars at the moment (July 2020). Outside the station were some sports activities and cafes on the hill below.
I went to Mt.Pilatus via the cable car which I took from this place. The beautiful landscape beside and underneath the cabel car looks absolutely stunning. It was quite a ride onto the top of the mountain. One needs almost 30mins to reach the top
