Helsby Hill is a lovely local walk. It has many different ways to reach the top so in times like this keeping your distance is very easy. The views from the top are well worth effort to get up there. Enjoy the exercise and stay safe.

A lovey walk for a spectacular view. Was perfect in the rain as it started after we left the top. And the walk down was really sheltered. Definitely need wellies it's very muddy. Beautiful autumn colours. Just lovely
You park up at the car park for Helsby quarry. Short walk up a steep hill gets you into wilderness to explore. Further up and you are at the top with views of Cheshire and beyond overlooking Helsby. On a clear day, outlines of Liverpool cathedrals and the Welsh hills can be seen. Serene atmosphere. There are no amenities around, so fetch your own refreshments. Enjoy it and try not to spoil it for others.
Very cool place, such a great view and I would love to go back, there is an easy walk and a harder walkz might try the harder one next time but when I went I took the simple one, was nice and a great place to take dogs, it's so cool to see all around feeling tall and powerful! Great for families and kids, especially if you want to get into walking.
The views from the top of the hill are amazing. I would definitely recommend going if you are in the area.
