I lived up here for 13 months and never tried the place. My loss. Now I'm back permanently it's great to have such a good chippy so close. Excellent food!!!

I always look for a fish & chip shop whenever I go away somewhere. This chippy is definitely 5 stars. It's the village's convenience store too, so you'll be able to buy some essentials too such as bread, butter, milk, etc. They are very friendly. I asked for a large cod and chips. When they served up the freshly fried battered fish it was so big I said \I don't think I'll be able to eat all that.\ It was twice the size I'd get at home. I then said \Now I just need to find a peaceful place to sit and eat this ...\ and they told me about a secret lake known only to the locals just south of Cleator Moor. If you want to know where this lake is, then you'll have to go into Frizington's Chippy and ask for yourself or read one of my other reviews ...
It would be my frist place I.would visit to get some famous chips from Stephen x
This Chippy is great and we have always found the staff to be great and very friendly and helpful.
