Living near such beautiful natural areas is a gift! I love the Fredericksburg, VA area for many reasons, one in particular is the access to so many wonderful walking & hiking areas. And now especially with heavy virus concerns, it's a great time to enjoy fresh air & sunshine and do our best to count our blessings and help however we can.

These are a lot of great people trying to keep the river accessible to everyone to enjoy. People often take good places to take a walk for granted, but not these folks. They work with local volunteers to help maintain good walking paths and much more that is related to the river. Feel free to get more information because I know they could always use a few more good hands.

I went with my grandson's third grade class on a field trip. The guides were wonderful and very informative and patient!! Very educational!!
Went on a field trip with my daughter who is in kindergarten. Our guide had a lot of knowledge, and was great for the kids. We saw some wildlife (including a large black snake which was quickly moved before the kids saw it!) A great time was had by all!
