why do so many people trash this place over their reviews? where it is busy or not at any moment is out of control of the sauna. I have been there a few times as a tourist, sometimes it was very quiet sometimes it's busy. And even when it was busy it didn't mean I would have fun with people, like any other sauna in the world there is always hit and miss. I need to comment on the staff there, they are friendly, hard working to keep the place run smoothly and clean. they never failed to communicate in English with me. Yes the place is a bit small due to it's central location (more expensive rent I guess) but overall I think it's OK.

It was empty today, on a Sunday afternoon. Literally 20 people. The place is weird: medium-big size steam room (but only for fun - No place to actually relax), the sauna small but alright, open showers in the main corridor (?!?). I don’t know: it just had a dodgy aura.
Lots of young men that pretend that the older men do not exist. They will walk right by you and not even glance at you. Oh well, getting older is not so easy. The sauna itself is fine. I liked their old location better. I was there on a cold day and many of the hallways and rooms were quite cold. I think that this place has potential and I had a good time there. I just wish they would turn up the heat a bit. Who wants to have sex in a room that is so cold ?
The staff was nice with mainly young people, but the sauna has old soviet looking style. It looks awkward. It so old and even not very clean. It needs a serious maintenance as it now it is horrendous. Also there was a cold Jacuzzi. First time I see that :D . Anyway haven't seen all saunas, but if you are wondering where to go. This would be your last most desperate choice. I went there during the day it was empty. The price is somewhere around 14 euros for this......imitation of sauna
I put a lot of effort to go to this sauna for two weeks, and I need to say that this place does not offer anything beneficial for gays. The establishment has a low number of clients. People in the service keeps lying about the number of visitors. Do not trust when they say the sauna is full! Drinks and food are quite pricey and of low quality – especially the food service. The ambient is quite dull and unpleasant with palm trees all over the place. The reality is that you cannot relax, and even find people to have sex – if you find an attractive guy, consider yourself the lucky one! Ps: Yes, I am selective, and if you are a guy between 28-40s willing for sex, I do not recommend to visit Metropol. Maybe the right idea is to try the Sauna Werk, which is not well located, but at least it offers proper installation. The question is: can Frankfurt offer a cruising place updated with the rest of the world?
