I've had 3 prints (1 large, 2 medium) framed and am VERY pleased with their advice and work - will continue to use them for all framing needs. Also important to support local business/craftspeople.

Lovely shop with some quirky and individual prints and cards etc. On a recent visit I had 2 prints to be framed. One just a simple frame needed with glass, very pleased with the work done on this one. The reason I have dropped them to 3 stars is that the second framing request was for an oil painting. I expected it to be rolled onto bars and frame added, was told we should expect a 5 week wait. After 5 weeks I called as still no news. I was told the glass framed one had been ready a while but they had not done anything to my oil painting as not sure what to do with it?! Firstly I wish they had called to tell me they were unsure and to let me know the first one was ready. We decided as we had already waited 5 weeks we would go and collect both paintings and find another framers. When in the shop my husband felt the staff became very defensive regarding the oil painting and denied that they didn't know what to do with it and that it was just they didn't know what would happen if they stuck it with glue or heated the painting to 75º for 45seconds!!!! I'm no expert but surely heating oil would MELT it and why did they even need to clue it. Just as feedback to the staff - be open and honest to your clients, if your not sure what to do say so as it made us not trust you and sadly we won't be returning. Also don't get defensive, we weren't exactly being awkward or angry customers.
Not an enjoyable experience. Lady was quite unhelpful gave the impression that our business was an inconvenience. Would not use again.
