Appalling customer service! I've left my down coat for cleaning and it came back with a broken zip. They've 'mended' the zip with a bit of shoe lace and the back of a rusty clip-on earring. When I complained about the improvised finish, they had the cheek to deny responsibility and suggest that perhaps I brought the coat in with a broken zip. I'm sure if they truly believed that that was the case, they wouldn't have made an attempt to repair it in the first place. Accidents do happen, but the way businesses deal with them is what makes all the difference. This was definitely not the way.
Appalled & devastate. I took my dress here as they pride themselves to be a specialist. It’s even on their sign. I took my dress in with only a couple of clear drinks marks at the bottom. I was warned because it was silk it could snag etc but trusted because they do bridal dresses it would be fine. A week later I went to collect it. And the mark was vaguely still there. Around the straps and neck line of my dress is a diamanté trimming. The whole seam was hanging off! I paid 170 for a dress by a brand that specialise in quaility dresses that shouldn’t of happened. It was advised to have it specialist cleaned. But unfortunately came back in such a state, like it had come out of the washing machine. To top it off I had to send it back to HOUSE OF CB to have it repaired. Which had them cost me further as I had to do it tracked & insured. When I went in to explain the lady was extremely rude insinuating the dress was like it when it was recieved. And that it was covered in stains and basically saying because I no longer had it, (as I sent it off) couldn’t prove the damage even though I had dated photos & a video. She was also talking down to me like I was some kid. When I’m actual fact I wore it for a max of 6 hours for a event in Milan. I even showed her the time scale from buying the dress brand new, to wearing it and bringing it in. They infact had the dress longer than I’d even owned it. It was brand new!!. I will never take anything to them again and will for sure be advising to everyone & all my clients to avoid. You’d be better taking your items to Morrison’s just up the road. As they’d probably put more care into it. I wouldn’t even give it a 1 star.
