Take the time to really explore, follow any path, read all the information given at various points and you will find Fort Amherst an amazing and really interesting part of our local history. A nice little cafe and lovely clean toilets too. Well worth a trip!

I visited Fort Amhurst about a month ago prior to an operation. I walked around some more of the restoration work today.. formally I had been a volunteer there about thirty five years ago.. Really worth a look round if your interested in some of Medway' s history
What a pleasant afternoons trip to this historic site. Set out very nicely. Added bonus is a cafe & toilets. Really enjoyed the stroll round the grounds! And all for free...Will pay & visit the dungeons once we're out of Covid..Great work to all those involved...
Gorgeous food and scenery. Great places for the kids and big events. Really lovely time and super friendly staff. Can't wait to go back.
