A great deal of attention had obviously been taken to ensure that staff and customers were compliant with current guidelines. 1st class food at very reasonable prices in a clean, safe environment. Pleasant staff and dogs welcome too.

Arrived without a booking but staff friendly and seated my husband and I. We had to wait for 50 minutes before the meal arrived. My husband tried his burger and could not eat it as it was too burnt leaving a bad taste in his mouth. My husband only got about 6 chips on his plate so I put some of mine on his plate. staff were very apologetic explaining they were short staffed and offered a replacement meal but my husband declined and waited for me to finish my meal. We were given a discount on the bill when we left.
If I could give them 0 stars I would, I was challenged by a member of staff for saying I was exempt from wearing a face mask and made to feel very uncomfortable, I phoned to book my table and nothing was said about having to wear a face mask on entering the pub so my partner did not bring one as we are going out to eat so there was no need. The introduction as we walked in was unnecessary and to be quite frank so was having to wear a face mask as you didn’t need to wear one at the table despite being served at the table and being approached by two different people, will never be walking into that place again you should be ashamed and I’ll be reporting your practices I can see why you only have 3 star reviews.
Brilliant pub/restaurant. Food is excellent and the staff are very friendly. They are doing everything possible that is asked of them at the moment. Would highly recommend them.
Well looks ok from outside, we ordered 2 meals both ribeye steaks but looks like they do not know what a half of a tomato is we ended up with a quarter might be that it is buy 1 get one free offer steak was not the best, but 1/2 way through i noticed the fire place was absolutely filthy with dust, if there house keeping is this good you wonder what the kitchen is like hense the bad review please see photos.
