We went here yesterday to celebrate some great news. We initially came for dessert but saw the menu and decided having dinner here too! Food was good but the dessert for me was exceptional.

Little gem serving hot food during Tier 4, much appreciated after a cold long walk in the forest. Portions were nice and generous too. Only negative was the mulled wine - tasted awful. Unsure if anyone’s ever pointed it out to you guys but you need to fix it. So steer clear of the mulled wine and stick to food and beer and you can’t go wrong.
My other half and I love walking through the forest to the Arms for a late lunch. The food is great, the views are great the people are nice and on a weekday it is quiet enough for it to be romantic.
My first visit to the Foresters Arms last week for a birthday meal and it won’t be the last. We had a table in the garden where social distancing was easy to maintain. The young man who served us was really friendly, polite and efficient. The only struggle was trying to choose from the menu as when we passed other diners on the way in everything looked so delicious! To say we weren’t disappointed with our food decisions is an understatement and we will definitely be returning again. A fabulous meal in a relaxed environment Oh and they make a perfect Aperol Spritz!!
Lovely pub right on the edge of the forest. Friendly staff, nice food, good selection of beers. Not as good as the gardener's down the road, but providing some stuff competition.
