We visited on a Wednesday night for dinner. The ambience was very nice. It was not packed and offered Happy Hour Sangria. Food was tasty. The oxtail was was a little salty. Service was excellent.

Dined here a few times in the past year. Their pork dishes and Ropa Vieja are to die for. Friendly staff and a nice setup for outdoor dining. Always a good choice for food whether dining out or delivery.

The positives first. The staff was super gracious, attentive and understanding. The environment was cozy and they had live music for a Saturday night. Would definitely go back for appetizers and drinks. What made the experience questionable, the main dishes being served. I ordered what was a thin steak with onions with rice and beans. My BF ordered pork pieces with onions. I took one bite of my steak and was confused. It tasted weird, almost thought it was liver. Went to another part of the steak and took a bite and the steak just mushed in my mouth. I’m never one to complain about these things and I just would never go back. But I couldn’t not not say anything. Asked my BF to try it and he almost threw it out. It was clear now that this steak was way past expired. What a shame that a restaurant of this caliber would sell meals like this. It’s not like you’re paying for a ten dollar meal, this is like 25. I told the waiter and they apologized profusely and told me they could bring me another but I declined and asked for the chicken instead. The chicken tasted good but unfortunately the linger of the rest of from the steak lingered in my mouth and I couldn’t appreciate it. The beans served with the rice, were more water than beans. Maybe they’re scaling back the quality to make up for the costs during this time. Such a shame because I love Cuban food but this was not an experience I wanted to thru and restaurants need to be held accountable. Hopefully this doesn’t ever happen again.

I will give this place 2.5 stars just because the food is not that 5 stars quality and its too pricey. Not impress and not coming back.
