Amazing Valentine Meal takeaway from Forage! Delicious mushroom risotto to start with.. Main: Both tender & tasty braised shin of beef with great veg to accompany, including Wadswick Cavalo & artichoke purée. Pud: Salted caramel chocolate fondant with poached raspberries. Sublime! Even a chocolate heart filled with raspberry jam to finish. It was a really gourmet experience! Congratulations to the chef & his team. Can these Michelin type takeaways become a monthly experience?

Came to have a look around the shop but ended up in the cafe having a light lunch which was absolutely yummy. The view upstairs was lovely out to the fields, the decor inside was very rustic like exposed brick and wooden beams and the chandelier of deer antlers was also lovely. The service was good, table service and felt very clean and tidy. My friends had burgers which also looked great very big and the fish and chips also looked fantastic. Coffee was also very nice.

LOVELY PLACE, STAFF AND FOOD GOOD QUALITY. DOG FRIENDLY, WHICH IS GREAT. HOWEVER, FOOD IS VASTLY OVERPRICED. 6 FOR 2 POACHED EGGS ON ONE PIECE OF TOAST!!!! HOW IS THIS FAIR PRICING? AT THE END OF THE DAY, IT'S A VERY NICE CAFE, IN WILTSHIRE, NOT THE RITZ!!

The food itself is beautiful. However, we ordered the Sunday Roast platter (unfortunately if there is 2 of you we were told we couldn't order for just 1 person, it had to be for both of us so it meant one of us had to give up our first choice... Very bizarre) When it arrived to our table and we dished it onto our plates we were shocked at how little we received. We called the waitress over as we realised we'd have to order extra sides to make it a semi decent sized meal. She told us usually it was enough for people and that our table was too small for any more. Very embarrassing. 18.95 each we paid! She then huffily said she would put through another order. I was mortified because I felt like I was being called greedy. However, see for yourself the picture. It's a shame as the food itself was beautiful. The girl who served us (Sarah) was a terrible waitress. We overheard a customer telling her the food could have been a little hotter and her telling them next time to order it extra hot! I was shocked. We won't be returning.
