My previous home insurance was with a big bank and I was paying 65/m (taxes included & discount included for having car insurance with them too). In an unexpected turn of events I found out that my insurer would not cover the lender of my second mortgage. I was very upset to hear this and was recommended (by the brokerage company of my loan) to try this company to help me look for insurance for my home. They came back with a quote of 180/m just for home insurance! Even more upset than I was before, I decided to try calling insurance companies on my own. The first (well known) company I called gave me a MUCH better quote of 104/m (taxes included) and it would have been cheaper (under 100/m) if I added car insurance, but I decided to stay with my current insurer for that.
