It was a warm sunny day and there was such a buzz of excitement. The platforms were packed with people who were awaiting the arrival of the Steam engine Northern Belle. It was fabulous to see it.The station staff made sure that people were aware of the dangers of getting too close at the end of the platforms. It was just so nice to see the engine and the interest displayed by everyone.

The young lad who works in the ticket office is the most knowledgeable and helpful person ive ever met and ive done a bit of travelling. Its time he had a pay rise.
