Stopped off at Fish Plus Chips on way home from Maidens. It is all set out to keep the Covid at bay. You go in observing self distancing, place your order, pay and go back outside with your receipt with order number to wait for the call. Luckily it was a very pleasant evening but there is some shelter if weather is inclement and space to keep distance. That's the scene setter. I ordered a large special fish supper and chose haddock (with cod also on offer.) Got a call about 20mins later but this was a weighty fish supper worth the wait . The chips were hot and delicious with the scrappy bits to crunch into when the box was empty. The haddock was large and thick and covered in a crunchy bread crumb batter. I shared it with my good lady and it was more than enough for two with elderly appetites. The best fish supper we have had for years finishing off a lovely day out.

Great chip shop food is all fresh cooked while you wait very nice staff full of energy to chat with you I would recommend it

Had delicious large haddock and chips while staying at Craig Tara. This is how fish and chips should be. Large chunky fish in a light batter and hot fresh chips. Absolutely delicious. Hope to squeeze in another visit before we leave!

I recently moved to Alloway and a friend recommended this fish and chips takeaway, Not only did they deliver on a cold wet night but they also delivered on the food, first class quality haddock and chips,very fine batter and a huge white haddock.Five stars all the way.

ordered from Fish Plus Chips for the first time last night, although we had to wait over an hour for our order to arrive, the food was delicious! Best fish supper we've had in years
