Very tasty fish and chips and they take safety in these strange times seriously. Easy to wait in what was the cafe while your food is prepared. Lovely fish and batter and to eat them in the shadow of the castle was fab.

Slowly making my way through the nation's best chip shops to see if they live up to the hype and this one did not disappoint! Loved them! And their onion rings were the best that me and my girlfriend had ever had.... They do cook in beef drippings so if you are a vegetarian bare that in mind... But so good! Do recommend
Mandy, Ben and James do a fantastic job at Barnard Castle. the system was excellent in terms of it being COVID safe and they guided you where to stand without being at all bossy. the food was out of this world - James keep up your excellent skills!! Better and fresher than fish and chips from the seaside. takeaway only at the moment, but that's no problem for us. highly recommended!
Fish & chips twice, 2 peas (one size only... Small!) & a portion of onion rings, a little under 18. Decent portion of some of the best fish, chips, & onion rings that you are likely to find, but you need 2 tubs of peas for one decent portion. Very efficient service but I didn't feel comfortable being hearded into a small room, albeit marked out for social distancing, I would rather have waited outside.
The best fish and chips in Teesdale...take away and restaurant with toilet facilities. Lovely friendly staff! Can get busy.. but worth the wait!
