We used this company to have our 1930's internal doors dipped and neutralised. The doors came back on time and the quality of the work is acceptable, however the man who picked up and dropped off the doors was rude beyond belief. On collection, the doors were ready in our entrance hall (not outside as it was raining), and despite the fact we could socially distance he flatly refused to help me to take them out. He then tried to sell me an extra service I hadn't asked for and demanded I decide straight away. On delivery he off loaded 2 of my 5 doors and demanded the cash payment before offloading the remaining 3, as he was worried I wouldn't pay! I told him I didn't want to pay before I could see all my doors but he wouldn't budge and was extremely rude. I cannot believe that companies can get away with such appalling face to face customer service - would not use again and would absolutely NOT recommend. Avoid at all cost based on the face to face customer service (office was fine, they might want to reconsider who they are entrusting with their client work).

Paid for 1 week service to strip and sand 1 door. Finally got my door back 3 weeks later with 1 of the windows broken. The person answering the phone was nice enough but clearly the work is not done where they pretend to be. If they forget to load your door on the day they are going to be in the area it is another week before they will be back. Finally if chasing up don't bother asking for a call back to update you. They said they would 3 times but I never got a call back. In short it simply isn't worth the effort using this company

I had 14 Victoria heavy doors done by this company yes they took longer than quoted and expected but with this amount of doors and the amount of paint on them it's not surprising they took longer. The driver who came and collected them was friendly polite and helped my husband to unload the doors when they came back. Obviously because of social distancing meant that he couldn't take the from or bring them back into the house. The doors were finished beautifully and better than we expected as they had had years and years of paint on them. If I had anymore doors to do I would certainly use them again. And yes my husband knows where all the doors go still even though they are stripped. Debbie

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. If there was a zero star option, I would use it. In brief, the pre-pick up communications were OK, but that is the only positive thing I have to say. On collection of the agreed items, there was not enough room in the van. The 3 items that were collected were held for over a month with no feedback on progress. Many emails and phone calls were attempted to get our items back. Promises of times of delivery were failed twice. Eventually we have the items back in the same condition they were sent and the driver demanded a 25 cash in hand charge although our items had not been treated. He was going to take the items back if we had not paid. He claimed he didn't work for the company. I cannot advise enough - there is nothing good about this company so please do not use them.

This is not my first time using Capital Door Stripping. I am a builder and have customers that ask me how much to fit new doors for them. I am not a carpenter but I personally feel that stripping the current ones is the better and cheaper option especially if they are the original Victorian, Edwardian doors. This is how I end up calling Capital Door Stripping and they are reliable and very simple to work with. Always competitive price.
