The Foords is a grade 2 Listed building and in my opinion a wonderful place to stay whilst on holiday in Filey. I last stayed for one week at the Foords Hotel during the break in the Covid-19 restrictions in 2020. The Land Lord & Lady are extremely polite and are 100% genuine people and will go that extra mile to ensure that your stay is pleasant one. The Foords complied to all of the Covid-19 government restrictions at the time of my stay. The rooms are ok, but basic and nothing special, however the rooms are clean. You have either a shower or a bath in the rooms and on top of this you have a basic LCD tv and electric kettle. It would make life easier if some kind of fridge was provided. Towels are also provided. I have stayed at the Foords with my friends, Scott and Alan on a good number of occasions and I would highly recommend a stay.

Great lovely barman
Bar staff are so friendly and the beer is good. Theres a really cute courtyard to sit out in too. The only issue is how run down and dirty it looks.
Love this place. Full of character and history. This is the absolute polar opposite of a chain pub. Yes it's a bit dog eared in places, but it is utterly authentic. No airs or graces, a backstreet fishermen's boozer. Friendly and when the beer is on top form it is unbeatable. Autovacs for those in the know. The gents bogs are astonishing. They should be preserved.
Stayed few times now while visiting family. Very welcoming with great drink and atmosphere.
Best pint I had all night in filey tried them all staffs great but could def do with a lick of paint
