Great place to visit & only 2.50 entrance fee. Loads of artifacts to look @ & discover the history of local fishing traditions. Also one room is dedicated to life in Victorian times, really worth a visit.
Very interesting place with lots of variety. Also touchable for children. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Cant wait to be able to go again.
Lots of information to read and listen to on local history. Knowledgeable staff and the museum was set out in a lovely way to display all the items they had. The building itself was a beautiful cottage
Run by the Filey historical society, this is a hands on museum. You are able to handle and learn about every exhibit. The lovely people who man the museum are happy to teach you crafts e.g. knitting the Sunday jumpers or making "ship in a bottle". Some lovely insights into days gone by. 2.50 is a very small price to pay for such an informative glimpse into Filey as it once was.
This small museum may not have the interactive displays, the lights and the technology of today's museums but we enjoyed it. Packed full of history, information and staff who were enthusiastic and great with the kids. Thumbs up from all four of us!
Interesting place to visit found it by chance could do with more sign posts
Amazing museum. Whilst limited in space, this museum was not short on entertainment. The staff were very enthusiastic, very welcoming and available at all times. Activities for kids in every section and the kids are actually allowed to touch most of the display. Kids are free and adults 2.50. Great place to lose a couple hours.
