If you are visiting Fiesole, please take half an hour to climb the steep road up to the convent. You will be rewarded with 1) splendid views over Florence and 2) a free entrance to a small but interesting convent museum (accessible via the church).
Very peaceful and quiet. A nice place to take a break. Beautiful Franciscan Monastery. Well worth the hike up the hill.
Lovely little monastery. Amazing views. Worth the short walk up from the town.
This 14 century monastery is worth the effort of a fairly steep climb which incidentally gives unrivalled views of Florence & the Tuscan countryside. Free entry with a small museum exhibiting some ancient relics. there is also a small quadrant garden. The church in finely decorated with religious frescoes . Highly recommended.
