Sempre puntuali e cortesi. Un trenino locale molto utile che collega il luganese a Ponte Tresa. Il sabato vicino il mercato sul versante Italia. —- Immer rechtzeitig und zuvorkommend. Ein sehr nützlicher lokaler Zug, der den Lugano mit Ponte Tresa verbindet. Samstag in der Nähe des Marktes auf der italienischen Seite. —- H Always timely and courteous. A very useful local train linking the Lugano to Ponte Tresa. Saturday near the market on the Italian side.

Very nice service: on time, frequent service, reliable. Large time span (from early in the morning to around midnight), including on sunday and public holidays. Not so new vehicles, but confortable and well functioning, with lower floor (new vehicles ordered, due to replace the existing one by 2019).
The train runs consistently but 1 broke down on us and we had go wait on a shuttle.
Fastest way from Malcantone to Lugano
It works but super hot in the summer because no a/c, and in the winter it gets all humid and sticky. They have to get new trains. Also not always on time.
Miles below the standard of the Swiss National Railways. Scruffy old carriages, poor signposting, on some stops practically no shelter for sun and rain
