Paid for 10 swimming lessons for my baby. Told them we only going to be in Philadelphia for the next 3 months. Apparently they signed us up for membership! For my toddler. We attended 3 swimming lessons instead of 10. Pandemic started in February and they charged Amex of my husband for the whole year! Even After I called them and asked them to stop. Manager on the phone told me that they would but the charges continued. UNAUTHORIZED. Bunch of crooks. Never received their contract nor pass as a member )). Will file an official complaint with PA Consumer Affairs. Be aware.

Clean and safe
Very nice facility. Spacious, plenty of well-maintained equipment, and has everything imaginable: cardio, weight machines, free weights, pool, sauna, hot tub, classes, racketball, etc. I docked a star because--- although the main women's locker room has recently been redone, and very nicely at that--- the women's pool locker room is dated, dirty, and dingy. Also, the shower curtains aren't wide enough to *actually cover* the shower opening, thereby defeating their purpose. Wider curtains would be great! As a result, most women don't actually use the pool locker rooms after swimming, which results in consistently wet gym hallway floors, and one must walk very gingerly in the hallways to avoid slipping. Hopefully AFC will update the pool locker rooms soon! Overall this gym has a nice atmosphere and I'm very pleased with my membership so far.

Constantly overcrowded, always something wrong with sauna room. Smells like urine everywhere in shower, bathrooms and steam room like nobody was cleaning it for weeks. Daycare is great though, just like home, my kids used to love it there
