The opening hours are really not great (11am on a weekday EVERY weekday?) and they’ve really struggled to get any programs back up and running after covid, when most other Moreland city libraries and programs have. To be honest it doesn’t really feel like it’s much of a resource for the community. I’m not sure where or why it’s falling down, if it’s funding, management or a Moreland city council issue (doubtful on that one given Coburg and Brunswick libraries do not seem to face these issues) but overall it’s been a pretty disappointing experience so far. Hopefully things improve!

I'm going to be honest with ya'll, it's not the fullest. If your looking for certain books, check their website before you go there if they have what your after. Other than the books being painfully limited, the Fawkner library is otherwise a great place to study or to just sit and read. I've been to other libraries and by far I love this one the most. You walk in to smiling and friendly staff, and the atmosphere itself can only be described as warm, dense (i guess) and friendly. It's located near a swimming pool, training centre, school and a skateboard rink, and the teens there are respectful as far as I've experienced. Would definitely recommend visiting- at least once. Four stars because of the book quantity.
A great little library that forms a part of the Moreland City Council library network. Books, including large print, magazines, multimedia, internet access, WiFi, regular public events and activities, helpful friendly staff.
Lovely staff that are very friendly and helpful and a wide selection of books
Best place...
Nice library with an OK range of books but a little disappointing in this day and age for a library not to open until 11am on a Weekday.
small spacings and bad facilities but a lot of parkings and has a park for children to play in
