Authentic Egyptian food, many vegetarian options, would recommend Koushari, common street food. The hawawshi was amazing for meat enthusiasts. Highly recommend.

I must say that I was never a big fan of Egyptian cuisine based on my limited experience here in the US with some of the scare options. In fact, I always joked around that Egyptian cuisine is so poor because the Egyptians were super busy building the great pyramids and didn’t have much time to perfect their cuisine despite the super rich history they offered to the world. However, a friend of mine introduced me to this joint and I reluctantly accepted the invite. But I gotta tell you that I was very stunned with the quality and the flavor of the food there. The mulukhiyah with hen, the appetizers, the freshly baked bread, the lamb shank, I mean you name it. Every dish is stunningly more delicious than the other. The management and service, along with the price all check out perfectly for me. I wish I was introduced in the proper manner to Egyptian cuisine early on like in this place! I super highly recommend and will absolutely frequent this place. Parking is free and plenty.
Last night I ate at an establishment with 2 Michelin Stars, and this place was better. The food is astounding and my husband said it was the most authentic Egyptian food he has had in this country. We will be coming back to the DC/Virginia area just to eat here.
If you’re looking for the best Egyptian food (even better than the one in Egypt) then this is the right place! The food is so delicious and tasty! The service is excellent and the owner of the place is very nice. We came her twice for lunch and breakfast. Everything we ordered was so good and 10/10! The meat is fresh and clean. This is my favorite restaurant and highly recommended! Deserve 10 stars ️
This, by far, is the most authentic and real place that I have had Egyptian food at. Great service and quality. Will definitely come back again to DC to eat here.
Excellent customer services and friendly Excellent food and delicious I recommend everyone for visiting Fava Pot You will see how they are amazing Thank you everyone there and Thank you Dina ( Business Owner)
They will forget to give you napkins and forks. The food is good, however. It will fill you if you are hungry. It is well marinated and well cooked. The restaurant itself is quite pretty. If you are taking food to go, remind them numerous times that you require napkins and utensils or you will not receive any.
If you're in the mood for a hardy breakfast, you won't go wrong with the "Premium Chef's Breakfast " it's delicious, plentiful, and wonderfully satisfying. Unexpected mixture of tastes that makes your taste buds start dancing, and you'll feel you just took a plane ride across the ocean! Well worth the 18.00
