The only place I found in Balat that served beer.

Nice place and good antique shop
First night in town and looked in through the window as it sounded lively. Lots of locals. Music. Really friendly. No menu. Fish or meat. Good meze followed by lamb kebab and meatballs (small minced lamb patties). 320 TL for 4 including some Efes beer. Landed on our feet.
This place is a rip-off. Not only the prices are two or three times higher, but the portions are ridiculously small. While the food is ok, it has nothing special either. I'm not sur where all the good reviews come from, but if you decide to go, make sure to ask the prices before ordering
