Faro, Portugal
Largo do Carmo 21

If you were a monk or maybe a child(?) many ages ago you could have your skull and bones set in cement and displayed for decades to curious tourists happy to pay 2 euros for the pleasure. It's a shame the names of the lucky bone donators are not celebrated, paint their names on the heads. The average size of the heads seem small many are surely children.

Stunning church in Faro. Couple of each to access. The interior of the church is mind blowing with an incredible ornate ceiling. Further around to the back is the chapel of bones, yes real actual bones. Well worth a visit whatever your personal beliefs.
Worth to see. A bit scary.
It was opened till 1 pm on Saturday, so we couldn’t get in.
It's interesting and creepy at the same time ... Not for everybody I presume. The hole interior and probably exterior not sure is made out of human bones and skulls .
A good place to visit to see some history and appreciate the culture behind the monk's sacrifice!
This is a must visit location.
Chapel of bones is very interesting. The church itself is very ornate with plenty of bling.
