Excellent. Food was super. Setting lovely and relaxed. Sat outside in the sunshine. Young lady waiting on us was very professional. Acres of parking. Will definitely visit again. Well done.

Well organised for outdoor service, friendly staff
I chose to come here for my birthday meal. They were very accommodating and had good distancing measures in place, but the waitress forgot to take my drinks order so we had to call her back, and the poached egg on the fish cakes was overcooked. Plus, there wasn’t much choice for vegetarians- there was only the veggie burger- and since they were out of the green salad, no choice for vegans either. Quite disappointing for someone who prefers to eat veggie but doesn’t like burgers. Outside there’s a fun little river for kids to play in, so an ideal place to come in summer.
Waitress Tina very pleasant and efficient despite being her first day, Will be an asset to restaurant. First time back since lock down and whole visit enjoyable. Food hot and we'll presented,plenty of choice. Only negative was after meal coffee, not particularly hot or enjoyable taste shame. Look forward to visiting again a good venue for current restrictions everything done well
Really lovely place. Me and my parter came in yesterday for a roast. Sad to say there was no beef left when we arrived, but the turkey was just as good. Delicious food! Very friendly staff! Clare W was just fantastic. Very smiley and helpful. Definitely recommend!
What a beautiful part of the world Farningham is. The pub echoes this, a 16th Century building with a swathe of character sitting at a river side setting. The Lion is a huge public house. It has ample seating inside and huge choice outside when the weather is grand. Inside The Lion still retains its character from days gone by and adds modern elements in a mix that works. Where the Lion falls down, like many chains, is attention to detail. Good choices were excellent; there is even a Vegan menu. Unfortunately food quality is lacking in comparison to the competitors. The serving staff, although lovely and warm, there needs to be more of given the number of punters. I enjoyed my food nevertheless, the veggie tart was a texture tour de force. Crumbly, Crunchy and soft. Prices are good, especially if you opt for the 2 or 3 course set menu.
Lovely pub in a very pretty location. Would be gorgeous in the summer. Nice sunday lunch. Yorkshires were a bit soft and the beef on my trio was tough and dry but pork and turkey was lovely as were the veggies. The duo of beef and pork belly were very good. Friendly service. Busy Sunday lunch so had to ask for some things a few times and a few small mistakes with the order. I would go back in the summer.
A lovely meal. Great Covid-19 awareness. Great service as you’d expect from a Vintage Inn. Hot food and a friendly atmosphere! Great location both during the day and evening! Highly recommend to anyone!
