This week my wife and I took a day trip to visit Haley's Modular Homes in Farmville, VA. We were greeted by Vic the owner who walked us through each of his models, answered all of our questions in detail and never rushed us once. We have experience in building a modular home and the advice I can give to those who don't have any experience in building homes is to buy a home from a Builder like Vic, because Big Box Retailers only know how to\ SELL\ houses not \BUILD\ them. I have to say that I’m extremely disappointed in the quality of the workmanship and customer service associated with the purchase and installation of a single wide home. The only reason why this is a one star review is because you can’t write your post with no stars. This company treated my parents horribly and it got to the point where we had to hold off on the final payment in order to get any type of follow up or response to correct workmanship and deficiencies. The home was unlevel in both directions none of the doors were installed properly and are still a grave source of aggravation in trying to open clothes as they cannot be Reese squared, the quality of the interior trim is deplorable, the heating system is inferior, the finish crew cut the vinyl floor covering around the entire perimeter of the home and it all the door openings when they were removing the vapor barrier which cannot be repaired. The wallpaper covering is blistered and peeling in several locations and of course that can’t be repaired. I could go on and on with the issues. I would highly advise anyone considering purchasing a home through this company that they look elsewhere. I do not take any satisfaction in writing a review like this however if it saves someone else the aggravation that my parents went through in dealing with this company and their product it is worth it. Buyer beware!
